Qt 5 is basically supported, but not
recommended due to mouse position bug
(see comments).
The current QCAD sources can indeed be compiled against Qt 5.
However, there's still one show-stopper bug in Qt 5 which prevents us from moving from Qt 4 to Qt 5:

Basically, what it means is that mouse clicks are often registered a couple of pixels (sometimes 100 pixels or more) away from the position where the user actually clicked the mouse. As you can imagine, in a CAD application that is quite unacceptable.

A patch is now available for Qt 5 which should make QCAD usable with Qt 5 (not tested here yet):
