FS#1302 - Isometric projection on the current layer

It would be very useful to have the same possibility for Isometric projection like the Paste tool etc.. An option which ask me to put a new Isometric projection on the current layer is right now missing. If I like to have this new Isometric Projection on a different layer I have to reselect the projection and move it to that layer. That is plain inconvenient.

Absolutely agree Husky.

I am currently in this exact situation where I need to project lots of faces to represent an iso view and having to constantly reselect and manually move them to another layer is becoming quite a chore!

To have the option to automatically move projections to a specific layer would move the whole 'isometric' tools in QCAD a big step forward in my opinion.

The workflow would speed up dramatically.

@Andrew - something like this would be a big boost for QCAD.

Clive

To me it seems quite contradictory when people file bug reports to keep entities on their layers so that they also inherit the layer properties.
To then suggest that this is a bug in itself.

Layers are meant to keep things together that should display alike.

All this while it is afterwards simply the question of selecting the completed projection and move it to a layer of choice.
But then they would need to set custom general properties ...

My 2 cent.
