FS#388 - More options for Polygons ...
Possibility to draw Polygons with a given dimension for across flats (not only corners).
Please elaborate (German is also fine, we will translate).
Meant for: triangle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, ...
Dimension given by user for across flats (A/F) like this:

Dimension given by user for across corners (A/C) like this:

Dimension given by user for high like this:

corners.jpg (28.2 KiB)
flat_corner.jpg (22.2 KiB)
Thanks, all clear.
Just curios - any chance to get this feature request implemented?
By the way:
After searching for this post I realized that you don't get the Date of the Post if you are logged in - if you are logged out the Forums software displays the date of the post.
Why is that so?

Yes, this is certainly possible. I am currently swamped with other QCAD related work. New features will be implemented after this.
Thanks!
Just to keep thoughts together

If I think long enough about this it brings me to the conclusion that it could also be the solution for the "Polygon, Center Point, PG1 upgrading.
If we have the possibility to choose a Reference Points (just two: middle and end) we could handle all variations on that polygon inclusive a radius determination with the Coordinate (R) function.
Designing A/F (across flats) at Hex Machine bolts etc. etc. etc. would then just be a piece of a cake ...
I think the new Tool Polygon Side, Side will do the trick and this task could be closed.
