German translation:

"Bemaßung" is written with "ß" instead of "ss".

BTW, this may be useful: dict.leo.org

Comment by Andrew (andrew) - Friday, 21 June 2013, 21:47 GMT+1

Thanks Nomen. QCAD uses the Swiss German spelling rules (we don't use the German ß in Switzerland).

Spanish Translation:
"Close Sequence" must be "Cierra la secuencia" and not "Cerca de la secuencia"

Comment by Andrew (andrew) - Monday, 08 July 2013, 18:41 GMT+1

Thanks Xavier. This has been fixed for the next release.
Please let me know if you spot any other errors. The Spanish translation is based on an automatic translation, so it is likely to contain more errors.

Italian translation

The original english sequence:
main menu → draw → text → special characters → others - character map

is translated as:
menu → disegna → testo → caratteri speciali → altri → mappa del PERSONAGGIO

while it should be:
menu → disegna → testo → caratteri speciali → altri → mappa DEI CARATTERI

Because the english term "character" can be translated in italian both as "carattere" (that can be both the personality of a human being AND a typographal typeface) and "personaggio" (that is ONLY a character of a novel, a theatrical show, a film, and so on). In this specific case, the correct italian translation is "carattere". More precisely, it should be translated with the plural form "caratteri" (that is: "mappa dei caratteri").

Thanks Alessandro! I will fix that for QCAD 3.7.5.
Please let me know if you spot any other error / inconsistencies. Thanks.

Hello/Bonjour,

French translation:

Under "Divers" in main menu, all submenus are still written in English. (QCAD version 3.11.3.0 dated Oct 14 2015)

Yes, The 'Misc' menu is for various tools and is only available in English at this point (i.e. not translated).

Please mark as translatable: "Color:", "Handle:", "Continuous"

Please mark as translatable: "Handle:", "&Import XML", "&Export XML", "Version:".

AlexL: this should be fixed. C++ sources need to be updated from https://github.com/qcad/qcad

German translation:

Under "Applikationseinstellungen", "Widgets: Eigenschaften Editor" it should be also "aktuellen" instead of "aktuallen" in the second place.

Thanks.

In the welcome screen (first time run), when using German as language, the background color is switchable between "schwarz" (black) and "weiss" (white). In German you write "weiß", not "weiss".

Comment by Christian Gonzalez (nerdoc) - Tuesday, 29 August 2017, 21:34 GMT+1

On the website/manual: http://www.qcad.org/doc/qcad/3.17.3/reference/de/index.html there is "schliessen" in the left sidebar. This should be "schließen" too. I suppose there are many "ss ↔ ß" errors in QCad.

Comment by Andrew (andrew) - Tuesday, 29 August 2017, 22:02 GMT+1

I can confirm that QCAD does not use the German Doppel-s. We're using the Swiss spelling.

Premier regard d'un nouveau venu, citation:

Merci d'essayer QCAD Professional.

http://www.qcad.org/de/qcad-book:

Das ofizielle QCAD Buch

Pas de discussion possible, ici: un simple f n'en remplace pas deux, surtout dans une page de cette importance en matière de promotion.

Brice: thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure I understood all of it (I'm using an online translator for French → English).
Indeed, most French texts in QCAD have been translated using such an online translator. Eventually these might be reviewed by a human if resources allow for it. Same for German ss.
