Threshold implemented

What is the platform affected? I cannot reproduce this under Mac OS X.

Please double-check also if you have not (accidentally) enabled black / white printing in the print preview.

Sorry for not marking my OS: it's XUbuntu 10.04.

It seems that not only white is transformed to black but also "near white" colors (which are not white with intend), black/white is not enabled (full color mode). The attached file shows the same behaviour in RC2 and RC4 as in RC5, in another file the printed color differs from RC4 to RC5 (perhaps another "white"-threshold?).

Maybe for this use case it is better to switch off any color correction:
'Edit' - 'Application Preferences' - 'Graphics View' - untick 'Auto correct black and white colors'

Please let me know if that solves / does not solve the problem for you.

The threshold might have to be configurable.. I can see the problem with the rectangle requiring color correction but the yellow / gray parts not.

Stefan commented on 06.04.2012 19:29

If the threshold could be configurable (or just turned off so that only "pure white" will be translated) that would be just perfect! :-)

I can switch off (for one file) and switch on (for another file) the translation, so it's not a "no go", but the configurable threshold would solve everything... ;-)

I have to backpedal: after some tests, the "auto correct black and white colors" is not what I need - I would have to change the background to white while drawing, which is not comfortable.

So if it would be possible to have the correction only for "pure white" or if the threshold could be made configurable, that would ease things a lot.

After ;-) the night, I would suggest having the discussed options not only "for everything" but rather having them for both "screen viewing" and "printing". This would enable working with corrected colors and printing with defined colors. This also would solve my problem.
