FS#822 - move Freehand Line to Polyline Tools

In order to be more easily editable after creation Freehand Line should produce a Polyline and should be moved away from Line Tools to Polyline Tools

Anonymous Submitter commented on 13.06.2013 13:39

Maybe options for producing a 'freehand' line in either line segments or a polyline - nice to have the choice ;)
Producing a freehand line in line segments creates something at its most editable, useful if you want to 'break out' segments for example. With a continuous polyline you would first have to explode it in order to do this task!

Just my thoughts

For Polylines there is a tool called "Delete Segments Between Two Nodes", that should be more powerful than having separate lines.
There are many things that work better with a Polylines like: Changing line Properties, removing Nodes but still having a continuous line, moving the whole Freehand Line when it is not isolated and cannot easily be selected without getting many other objects.

The choice to have an option for creating a freehand line in either separate line segments or a continuous polyline is still my preferred option.

Agreed when working with a polyline using the 'Delete Segments Between Two Nodes' is useful but it doesn't completely 'break out' the segment and leave a gap does it? I can see where you are going with this idea and in principle I agree but to only produce freehand lines as continuous polylines seems a shame - why not have a choice?
