During saving file I’m getting information “Invalid Symbol Table name error”. Problem is already known so i tried to follow the instructions given to other users by you. I’ve tried to change spaces to _ symbol in the layers names or deleting polish specific letters but there was no change. I was able to find out that the problem is related only to four layers named: A_ciany... When I delete these layers I’m able to save file without error message. Can you tell me what’s wrong in these layers? I’ve tried to change names of these layers but problem still exists. Best regards.

I tried to save as the drawing and the problem persists.
When I open the block, the attribute is there and is all set in the Specific Properties, but when I exit to the Model Space to edit the Attribute text, the created attributes don’t appear on Specific Properties tab.
The use of block attributes in sheets, balloon or any block that contains text is very necessary.

It would be a very interesting feature to add to future versions.
I also use AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 and the BOM is synced with every balloon on the drawing. Making it easy to edit.
The core BOM accepts formula fields and we can easily calculate the mass of a part, with some Ifs and math.
The BOM that is shown in the actual drawing is more simplistic, and has just Part number, Quantity, Mass and the Description. But it’s related to the “core BOM”.
It’s a very interesting thing! It would be great on QCad.

I somethimes require the midpoints of the line and arc segments as spline controlpoints + the start and the endpoint when geometrical open.
Could that be made an undocumented preference too?

I noticed a bug while editing blocks in place. When I opt to edit in place, most of the surrounding blocks fade out properly, but some don’t. Although I can’t edit them, as they are not faded, It can be tricky to identify what is in the current block or not while editing a bigger assembly.
Another suggestion is to add a keyboard shortcut command to the “save and close”.
Otherwise, this is a fantastic feature that really enabled me to buy the QCAD and start using it professionally. In place editings are a key feature for my projects and drawings.
Thanks in advance.

IMG 3 shows a surrouding block being edited “not it place”
IMG 4 and 5 shows the in place edit of the block shown in IMG 2 and the surrouding blocks not being properly faded.

2272 | QCAD (main) | Feature Request | Low | Support unit "US survey foot" | Assigned | |
|
Task Description
In the US, it is (unfortunately) still common to use US survey foot. It seems at least some DXF applications/libraries support this unit as a $INSUNITS value, some references:
There are two issues regarding this with QCAD:
If you open a document with $INSUNITS being 21, it’s reset to 0 (unitless/unspecified) when saved again, even when not changing anything.
It is not possible to select these units in the GUI.
I don’t know about standardization of these values, but my hope is that it’s at least possible to preserve the unit in an existing drawing. Given that this unit is supposed to be obsolete in some years, it might seem less important, but due to this transition, it might get even more important to be able to distinguish between units. Thanks!

Trimming With AX slows down with many text entities. Seeing the same lagging with D2 on Circle entities.
Also seen on Windows 10 Pro 3.26.4.0 Forum topic: https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?t=8729

The questions here are: Should AX trim at text entities? Can this be optional?
