Task Description

Hi Andrew,

I am guessing this is an external library, but you maybe able to push it upstream.

Certain Autocad DWG files with embeded blocks fail to display text that was associated with them. For example see grid ref D.03 in the attached autocad drawing, the circles are terminals and should have nos in them.

Have tried exploding them in qcad etc, but nothing.

Task Description

Qcad under linux appears to be suffering a slow memory leak to the point it chomps 1.8GB on my machine and the swap grinds to a halt.

Can you advise what system info you need and I will get.

Stop QCAD, give it 20-30sec to clean up and its back to normal.

Looking over the past 30 min in System Monitor, Startup 0.1GB, 30 mins in, 1.2GB, close all tabs open (3 off) and back to 1.1GB.

Task Description

Hi,

If you open an old qcad drawing thats DXF and edit text, the popup window shows “Main Font” as empty.

If you do not set the font and complete the edit, it will change the font from the standard to what looks like an Arial font.

If you set the font as “standard” during the edit, each time in future you open the editor it does at least have standard selected.

Ie if no font is specified in drawing, should it not select “standard”?

Task Description

When opening a DXF created by 2.2.2 the block entities are sometimes not being drawn in correct position and orientation.

The following is seen on the console (Which I think is related)

Debug: importing entities in block ' “Sw1pwo” '
Warning: RDwgBlockReferenceImporter::import: block reference references invalid block: “*X15”

and also (which is probably not related)
Debug: importing entities in block ' “A$C6329746C” '
Warning: RSpline::updateFromControlPoints: not enough control points: 0
Warning: RSpline::getExploded: invalid spline
Debug: RSpline: knotVector ignored
Debug: RSpline: knots: 11
Debug: RSpline: order: 4
Debug: RSpline: controlPoints: 7
Warning: RSpline::updateFromControlPoints: not enough control points: 0
Warning: RSpline::getExploded: invalid spline
Debug: RSpline: knotVector ignored
Debug: RSpline: knots: 11
Debug: RSpline: order: 4
Debug: RSpline: controlPoints: 7

Drawing file shown.

This could be a bug in 2.2.2, but it would be nice to ensure 3 can pull in old drawings without us having to rework them all.

Any questions james at enrogen dot com.

Task Description

Hi,

uname -r
2.6.38.8-32.fc15.x86_64

We can save a file ok showing permissions on the linux system are ok (its home directory)

But then when we open a CAD file from a supplier, try and modify and save or save as, it complains about disk space / permissions.

However, on checking the file system, the file name is there at zero bytes.

It is felt it is something in the CAD file causing an error behind the scenes. I can not see anywhere to attach this file, so please email me and I will send.

1209 QCAD (main)Bug ReportLow Printers do not appear without modification to Cups Closed

Task Description

Printers do not appear in QCAD unless you modify the default cups to create a /etc/printcap file

https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=3247

Is a work around

This is the only application on the platform this has to be done for.

I am guessing it affects any Linux with the printcap not set.

Hi,

When utilising the modify tools, instead of the selection picker appearing, the menu drops back to the start.

The console says
Warning: QScriptEngine::newVariant(): changing class of non-QScriptObject not supported
Warning: QScriptEngine::newVariant(): changing class of non-QScriptObject not supported

Have tried with rotate, copy/move, mirror etc.

591 QCAD (main)Feature RequestLow Library Browser - No Docking? Closed

Task Description

Hi,

There are a couple of things from QCAD2.2.2 to QCAD3 that work, but do not seem as fluent. Sorry if this has been reported, there are a lot of feature requests in German that I can not read!

We nearly always use a file library, which was accesible easily via a box in the corner of QCAD

1) The Library browser does not recollect the last open tab status and library selected, so each time you open it, you have to move back to the library.

2) As it opens as a separate window, each time I move away from QCAD and back its gone behind ala GIMP style. It would be much nicer if it was dockable.

3) It would be nice to have a refresh now, rather than a refresh next time it starts.

Also other bit if you want it

1) Key press Alt+F, A will highlight “Save As” but does not select it. I would have expected a SaveAs Dialog to come straight up
