Re: QCAD --> LaTeX

Hello everyone, I recently discovered QCAD as an alternative to xfig to make some technical drawings to use in LaTeX. When my drawing is complete, I print it into a postscript (.ps) file which I transform using "ps2eps" on the Linux command line. After that I include the .eps file in my LaTeX docum...

For arcs: you need to know the radius of the arc, then calculate the corresponding angle according to your distance (20 m). Say your radius is 40 m: the corresponding angle is distance/radius = 0.5 rad then use rota...

Welcome to this forum. In order to install QCad Community Edition on Mac OS X you have to compile the source code yourself. I am not an expert about Mac OS X, anyway the procedure to compile the source code should be something like: extract the downloaded archive in any folder; from the command line...

Re: How can I scale the dimensions?

I am using community version 2.0.5.0 from Debian on a Linux machine. Very often I want to draw a small piece with a scale factor. for instance, a 40 mm object twice as big. then, the problem is that when I put dimensions, it shows 80, which is obviously correct on the drawing, but not in reality. I...

That link works for me, so your problem is not the link itself. Maybe something related to your Internet access?

Actually I do not obtain any borders at the image when I export a drawing as *.bmp.
May you please be more accurate in explaining what are you trying to do?
Is your chart a plain QCad drawing or are you exporting a drawing containing a raster image?

Maybe you are using Linux, so one thing you can do is to convert a True Type Font in cxf format using ttf2cxf (please refer to this topic).

You have to explode the block and modify it. You can not put entities on the background to make them overlapping in the way you prefer.

Hello,
you need to explode a spline profile in order to hatch it:
  1. draw the spline;
  2. select the spline and explode it;
  3. select all the lines of the exploded profile;
  4. hatch the element.
