Thanks to musicmaker the answer is to install the x86 compatibility libraries. I must have installed them on Fedora 10 and forgot I did it or they came with Fedora 10.

Fedora update problem
QCAD works fine for me on Fedora 10. After installing Fedora 11 I copy my /home to the new release including the qcad directory. Now the qcad executable is flagged as a bad file. I am running on a 64 bit system. Is the executable somehow locked to Fedora 10? If I download again directly to Fedore 11...
