Printing to file

I have been using QCad for a while but have always had trouble with printing.

I am trying to get drawings into pdf format. For an A4 drawing I can save to file in .ps format and then convert it externally to pdf. However, for any other size I am having a problem.

Example: I have a drawing which I would like to print at A2. I can go to 'Print preview' and view it and it looks correct. If I then 'Save to file' the .ps file is only A4 in size and shows only the bottom LH quarter of the whole drawing.

How do I get it to print to A2?

I get no problem to print to a ps file in various sizes (A4, A2, A5, etc.)
Did you select the right size in the printer settings before saving the file?

mikejd - what system are you printing from (windows, Debian, Ubuntu)? what version of Qcad, what printing system (e.g. cups)?

I've found that printing to ps or PDF works fine so long as I set a non-zero line width to avoid incredibly faint lines. Using a PDF printer has produced the most useful results. (apt-get install cups-pdf on a debian-based system).

You do need to set the paper size in 'Current drawing preferences' first.
