line of fixed length between two objects

I'm trying to draw a vertical line that connects 2 circles (not tangent). This line must be 12 units long and vertical. Does anybody know how to do this in QCad?

Hello,
with QCad you can draw horizontal or vertical lines and specify their length. Please read here.
