cannot get printer to work

cannot get printer to work

I have a Epson CX8400 printer and when I try to print in Qcad ther is no printer listed can anyone help this newbie running Linspire 6.0

QCad looks up /etc/printcap for printer settings.
1. Please check carefully if you have no such file, or that file is empty.
2. If this is the case, look for the file printcap in /var/run/cups/printcap.
3. Run this command as root: ln -sf /var/run/cups/printcap /etc/printcap
4. Start QCad
