have tried the community and trial version and am unable to se my printers HP DeskJet 1220c local usb or server based also Canon iP4500 on usb, both work ok for all other applications on ubuntu system.
Are specific drivers required for QCAD

Many thanks you have saved my poor hair.
ln -sf /var/run/cups/printcap /etc/printcap
is all it needed.
have previously reinstalled everything and tried other versions of ubuntu to no avail
