Change plunging axis/axis direction

Post by Stachi » Fri Mar 12, 2010 4:23 pm

Hi,

I'm using QCAD Pro (bought...) and tried the CAM Expert. Not a bad piece of software. But I've got one big problem:

I need the axis that plunges in to the material to be Y and not Z. And the direction (+/-) of the X-Axis needs to be mirrored.

How do I achieve this?

Thanks :)

You will have to adjust the CAM configuration file to achieve that. Start by looking at the file machines/gcode.cxm.

Replacing Y with Z and vice versa might do the trick. As for mirroring the X axis, it might be the easiest to mirror your drawing before exporting to CAM.
