I am using the community version very often and I am starting to think it worth for me to buy a full recent version. I tried the demos for that purpose, but discovered everything is terribly slow, even without any drawing loaded in version 3, while the version 2 run like a charm. I have no idea which configuration is needed for the version 3 to run correctly, but it is clearely not for any of my computers. Is it still possible to buy the version 2 instead in such case?

Yes, after your purchase you can access both versions (QCAD 2.2 and QCAD 3.0) immediately.
