Block data extraction needed in Q-Cad!

One of the most powerful features of AutoCAD is the ability to save blocks with 'hidden' information and bmp/jpeg files contained within them, and then being able to both re-import and export blocks so that a spreadsheet application such as MS Excel can be used to interpret the data- very useful for keeping track of stock etc in a warehouse or for the making of BOM's. By using a template, data can be compiled in a way that fits the users needs.
I'd love to see this function implemented in Q-Cad.
