Hi there,
I would like to increase the perfomance of my qcad pc.
Are there any recommendations (like autocad who offers a list)?

Can I increase perfomance by using a fully opengl accelerated gpu or a quadro (whatever this means) gpu like NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500?

As far as I know qcad does not rely on opengl.

I face the problem that the startup of my projects takes too long.

I think you'll find that your graphic card for QCad is quite adequate enough. You only really need fancy cards if you are doing 3D and/ or need high speed screen refresh times etc. AutoCAD has 3D capabilities (although they aren't very good!).

If you still want to upgrade your card, I can highly recommend the Nvidia range.

PS, you only seem to be using 512mb's of memory. I would highly recommend taking this up to at least 1 gigabyte first. Also use a registry cleaning tool such as CCleaner. CCleaner is free and does wonders.

hope that helps :)
