Hi.
I'm starting to do wooden projects proffessionally. Needed exactly such 2d cad as Qcad. Very handy tool.
But it has some small lack. It doesn't have hatches that illustrate wood horizontal and transverse sections, that are very frequently used in wooden works.

Cause of law limitations in my country, I must byy every program that i use, even if it's GPL'ed, freeware, PD or abandonware. If I use some free software I must pay tax that is 22% of similar product's price. For example for openoffice I must pay 22% of MS Office price. And for qcad i could be forced to pay 22% of autocad...(we are 100 years before rest of world), So I want to buy 2 or 3 copies of Qcad, but my chief will not buy soft that will not be able to draw wood.

Is there a way (for example by adding/upgradin some library) to add wooden hatches? I could draw tehm and post for other wood-workers.

You can simply add your own hatch patterns:
- create a normal drawing
- draw your desired hatch pattern (e.g. 100x100 units)
- save file as normal DXF into <QCAD Installation Directory>/patterns
- restart QCAD
- use pattern
