QCAD trial is QCAD CE + QCAD Professional on trial.
QCAD CE is open source, see: https://github.com/qcad/qcad
The QCAD Pro plugins are proprietary code and these resources are not distributed in public.
Some elementary Pro classes are mentioned in the QCAD classes and modules overview (e.g. REllipseProxy): https://qcad.org/doc/qcad/3.0/developer/annotated.html
Concerning general usage:
For a small fee you can acquire a Pro licence including one year of updates.
The personal licence lasts forever, the access to your personal download page expires after one year.
