Persistant rulers

Post by dwight » Thu Nov 03, 2011 11:29 pm

How do you leave the measurement ruler on so if you have to move a line to be an exact distance away from another entity that is on an angle you have a guide.

For parallel vertical or horizontal lines a calculation can be done. This is to difficult if the lines or entities are on angle.

Not exactly sure what you mean.

In general: use auxiliary constructions to construct your drawing. Calculations are very rarely necessary and not precise (unless you enter 12 decimal digits). There's for example a parallel tool to create a parallel with a given distance.

Ok, that does what I need to do. May not be the best way, but it works.
