I use templates to create new drawing like most do. However, I always print on Letter sized paper and most of what I draw is small and fits well on that size. The templates I have found that I really like are all huge and I need to scale them to letter size. The only scaling I have found is a scaling factor. I was wondering if there isn't something like in gimp where you can set the height or width in inches and scale the drawing to that size?
Thanks.

Re: Scale an existing drawing to specific size
Hello ov10fac,
QCAD offers you the possibility to scale by factor or by mouse.
Example: Your Template is 10 inch in hight and you need to scale it to 15 inch you can use a scale factor of "1.5" or type in "15/10" and QCAD will do the math for you ...
You can also use the same or a different scale factor for "x" and/or "y" in one pass.
Yes - that is the way how it works in QCad and many other CAD Programs too.ov10fac wrote:The only scaling I have found is a scaling factor.

Ahh,
That was the piece I was missing. Quad will do the math.
Thank you very much.
