Hi,
Is there a way to split or break out polylines without having to explode them first ? Say I have a complexe polyline comming from an external DXF file I want to modify while it is already integrated in a complex design in the same layer. If I explode it, it will be quite impossible to make it again as a polyline.
Is the only solution to 1) move the polyline in a dedicated new layer, 2) explode it, 3) do some stuff, 4) hide other layers, 5) select all, 6) make polyline from selected segments, 4) revert layers visibility ?
Is there a better way please ?

If your polyline has many small segments, you might want to use the polyline tool to remove all segments between two given nodes:

The remaining overlaps can usually be corrected by dragging the end node to the desired (intersection) point.

Just a quick update: The next release will support breaking out segments of polylines using Modify > Break Out.

Very nice - that will save a lot of time. Thanks Andrew!andrew wrote:Just a quick update: The next release will support breaking out segments of polylines using Modify > Break Out.
