system in use: Windows 8, QCAD 3.9.3
Hallo All,
I've imported a bitmap (png) and saved the QCAD file as dwg. After I sent the file to an other colleague the bitmap disappeared on his QCAD (even on AutoCAD) => it seems that there remained only the reference;
Later we tryed with other png, jpg, tif, gif - files; the same story.
How shall I proceed to keep the bitmap in the file?

The DXF / DWG format cannot store bitmaps inside the file. Inserted bitmaps are referenced in the file instead. It's generally good practice to keep the DXF/DWG file and the attached bitmaps in one project folder.
