QCad How to create a rectangle?

Postby fredand44 » Sun Sep 05, 2010 11:21 am

Hello!

Hope this is the correct forum.

I use Qcad 2.2.2.0 and I need to draw some blueprints for my garageproject.

I got two questions:

1)
I find it pretty hard to create an exact rectangle.
Is there a way to create a rectangle through a dialog box like set:
x = 0
y = 20
width =100
height=100

Or is there a smarter way to create a rectangle?

2)
I also wonder if I can change the dimension for the axis x and y axis and for the mesh?

Best regards
Fredrik

1. Set the 1st corner point of the rectangle using an appropriate snap tool.
2. Set the 2nd corner point with coordinate snap (Snap - Coordinate). Enter a relative coordinate in the options tool bar, e.g. x: 100, y: 100

The key thing here is to use relative coordinates.

You can find the grid settings in Edit - Current drawing preferences.

Hello!

Thanks for your reply!

I have never seen the input field for: "Enter a relative coordinate in the options tool bar, e.g. x: 100, y: 100 "

I hope I can try it out when I get home today!

Best regards
