Getting XY coordinates of some blocks

Post by AntonioVR » Fri Sep 19, 2008 4:13 pm

I have a dxf file with some layers, and in one of these layers there are several blocks. I need to extract the coordinates of the points which define each block. Is there any way to obtain that? It would be valid even a command giving the list of the points, so that I can copy and paste it...

I have never used any CAD program, so I do not have too much idea (if you could explain the procedure in a easy way).

Thank you in advance!!

You can click on a block insert to select it and then look up the insertion coordinate in the property editor. I don't see a way to automatically stream all positions into a text file or something like that.

If you are comfortable with editing and digging plain text files, you can extract the positions directly from the DXF file.
