alignment of two entities

Post by lolo160109 » Fri Jan 16, 2009 6:06 pm

Can somebody explain what is the best method to align two sides of two entities ? For instance, let us imagine that we have one straight line that is not parallel with a given side of a rectangle, whatever the intersection angle is between this line and the rectangle side of interest. How to quickly rotate the rectangle so that the side of interest is perfectly aligned and become parallel with the straight line ?
Thanks in advance.

1. Use 'ia' to inquire about the angle difference between the two objects.
2. Select the object to align
3 Use 'ro' to rotate the object the appropriate number of degrees.

That's the only way to do it with QCAD that I know of.
