Arrays of objects

Is there convenient way to create an array of (identical) objects.
Bolt holes on a flange would be the most common example (for me).
But I'm also interested in linear arrays as well as circular.
BTW, if anyone's ever heard of Deneba CAD, that's what I'm trying
to transition from. QCAD is quite different.
