Drawing Preferences - Dimensions

Need to know if and how the following can be achieved:
1) Can the slant architectural tick be made thicker w/o redrawing a separate line on top of it?
2) Can the dimensions (the numbers) be made darker, or does one have to delete it and use regular text to achieve that?
Edit: Can the dimensions (not the dimension lines, but the numbers) be made bolder? When the "text height" is small (e.g. 1 or 1.5) the numbers are very light. Deleting and replacing with standard text has the same issue.
3) Can the dimension line be extended beyond the extension lines when architectural tick is used? Or, does one have to manually add separate lines at the two ends to achieve it?
