Lost Work

Post by sjfloat » Fri Feb 26, 2010 2:49 am

I've had trouble with qcad losing my changes. I developed a drawing, saving every several seconds or so, printed the image to a file, saved again and quit. I just opened the file and most of my changes are gone. The dates on the printed file and the dxf file are a second or two apart. What could have happened to all my work?

I should mention that It's qcad 2.0.5.0 on Debian (Etch).

Please note that there is a separate forum for the QCAD community edition. Please note also that there are various community edition compilations around from various Linux distributors and other individuals. They are all unsupported by RibbonSoft.

Right.

I wasn't looking for support, per se, just seeing if this situation was known "upstream". I may have to submit a Debian bug.

So, is 2.0 still being developed by RibbonSoft? Is it GPL'ed? How are problems addressed?

thanks

Yes, that's the right thing to do.

No. We are currently busy with QCAD 3.0.

The QCAD 2.0 community edition is released under the GPL, yes.

The people who compiled your binary might know that.
