I have just purchased qcad-2.2.2.0-1 (linux) and it crashes as soon as I try to open / save a file.

the following is written to the console before the crash:

QFileSystemWatcher: failed to add paths: /
QObject::connect: Cannot queue arguments of type 'QTextCursor'
(Make sure 'QTextCursor' is registered using qRegisterMetaType().)

Everything else works fine (I can open files from the command line and save then by clicking the save icon).

I have also tried to delete the QCAD.ini as suggested in other posts, but that did not help....

Please indicate exact operating system (distribution) with version, etc. for all issue reports, thanks.

The OS is Slackware 12.1 , but highly modified.

I have done further testing and it seem it works fine on fresh install of Slackware 12.1 (under virtual box).

So it looks like the problem is for me to figure out (and is not a Qcad problem). Although I would appreciate any pointers...

I'm at a total loss here.

I've compiled qcad community (2.0.5.0-1) and it works.
I've downloaded camexpert demo (2.0.4.8-1) and that works.

What is it about qcad pro and my system?

I would really appreciate any help...

I have the same problem.
Linux Fedora 13 (64bit) QT 4.6.3 Qcad-2.2.2.0-1 Prof.
File requester causes hang up all program.
I use QCad 3 years but now it is total unusable.

I test additionally Qcad 2.2.2.0 prof on Windows XP and appear the same error, file requester hangs the application.

rePeter: For Windows the problem is known and fixed by QCAD 2.2.2.1 (see download area).

For Linux the problem is new. We will have to check against the particular distribution you have mentioned.

Then I am forced to switch betwen Windows and Linux now,
temporarily I hope
