Arcs not imported: Qcad community vs Pro

I was previously using QCad 2.0.5.0 community edition packaged with Ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04), which inter-operated with our machine shops just fine. Since I have moved to QCad Pro 2.2.2.0, all of our shops can't open or import our files to their CAM systems.

Arcs are not shown in Autocad 2004 - although endpoint and radius information seem to be available, the arc is not drawn on the screen, although full circles and lines are drawn. The OMAX CAM software gives a message about an unhandled setting and refuses to import the DXF file.

Anyone know where the differences lie between QCad community and Pro?

You might want to try to save your drawings as DXF R12 in QCAD Pro.

Thanks - I'll give it a try. What DXF version is the default? Can the default be changed?

DXF 200 is the default and cannot be changed. DXF R12 should be considered as an export option since there might be loss of data in this format (e.g. 24bit colors converted to 8bit colors).

OK - DXF R12 displays properly in Autocad 2004 and was imported into the OMAX cutting software. Not convenient, but it works.
