Hello,
Not the best explanation but here goes:
I am using v3.9.1
I am trying to set up the Library. I add a folder of symbols to it, say "Electronics". Then restart the program.
I open the program back up. When I click on the library symbol to the right of the screen (the little screw icon) the library opens and then does an Index updating. This takes a couple of minutes to do. It happens every time I start a new drawing. I have followed (correctly I hope) the instructions on adding libraries to the program.
Is the library supposed to go through the library updating index every time I want to open it up? Is there any way to stop it doing that or am I not installing folders correctly via the Library Sources window pane? I have several items in there now (example: c:\QCAD\Libraries\Electronics") but when I open the library via the icon to the right there is nothing showing in the library browser window. I could sure use some help on why I am having problems setting it up.
Thanks
Setting up the Library

Did you add this path as library path in the application preferences?bschmall123 wrote:I have several items in there now (example: c:\QCAD\Libraries\Electronics") but when I open the library via the icon to the right there is nothing showing in the library browser window.

Re: Setting up the Library
I have tried adding attachments to show the status of library issue. Hope you received them OK. I am using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.
I have run out of ideas on how to straighten this out.
At this time when I open the Library Browser with the "screw icon" button to the right it is not doing an indexing update.
