Circle Intersecting Ellipse

I'm having a problem where QCAD doesn't seem to be able to find the intersections between a circle and an ellipse. See the attached sample file.

The larger circle behaves as I would expect; the smaller circle behaves as if it didn't intersect the ellipse. For example if you try to break out the segment of the smaller circle that is inside the ellipse, the whole circle is deleted.

P.S. I'm using the latest free Mac QCAD.

I tried only moving the ellipse by 1 unit, and then it worked as expected....more e_confused
