Imagine the situation:
I'm doing the design of a house containing a hall and a corridor that connects to this room.
Suppose I put a sofa in the living room.
QCAD checks the size of the sofa to move it through the door of the room? That is, if the size of the sofa is larger than the door, can not move the couch through the door of the room.
