Too many files open

Post by stewpye » Sat Jul 19, 2008 9:20 pm

Sorry in advance, this is hard to describe.
I find that I end up having many files open with the same name, but some don't have the latest drawing modifications.

I often have different files open and switch back and forth between them. The problem is if I have a file called file1, I will regularly save this file. Later when I'm closing windows I'll close file1 and other files but then earlier versions of file1 appear and I start freaking out thinking that I've lost the last 2 hours work!

Why is this happening, and is there a way of preventing it?

Cheers,
Stew.

Please make sure that you don't load the same file twice. You can see a list of all files that are currently open in the 'Windows' menu. If a drawing is listed there, simply click on it to bring it into view. If a file is not listed there, it is not open at the moment.

Ahh, ok. Thanks.

I've been looking at the list in the file menu. I'll keep an eye on the windows menu to see what I have open. I think that will solve my problem.

Cheers,
Stew.
