Scale for printing

Post by gastonv » Fri Sep 19, 2008 11:24 am

Hello,
In the past I have worked with several CAD-systems.
Now, in Fedora Linux, I like to learn working with QCad 2.0.5.0 (Community Edition).
I have made a drawing with dimensions.
To print it on a A4-Format paper, I have to scale it, no problem so far.
But after scaling, the dimensions becomes are also scaled.
A dimension of 140 becomes e.g. 70.
I think I don't use the right method to scale it for printing?
Thanks in advance for helping.
Many Greetings,
Gaston Verhulst.

Don't scale your drawing with the modification tool for printing. You can adjust the scale factor of the drawing in the print preview instead:

- File - Print Preview
- Adjust the scale factor in the tool bar
- Position the paper, or use the buttons in the tool bar to automatically adjust the position and / or scale factor of the drawing
