QCAD closes all the time???AAAGGGH!

Hi I am currently trying to teach myself how too use QCAD. Having no prior experience with any CAD package is both good and bad...

My issues are that when trying to draw with it, either using a line tool or entering coordinates for instance the programme unexpectedly shuts down? I am using a MAC OSX and have QCAD 2.2.2...

Any assistance appreciated -as i am fast running out of patience

Please make sure that you have indeed downloaded and installed the QCAD version for your exact version of Mac OS X. I.e. if you have Mac OS X Tiger, download the QCAD package for Tiger, if you have Leopard, the one for Leopard, etc.

If you have the correct package installed, please let us know any exact sequence of commands, tools, ... that will crash QCAD on your system, so we can try to reproduce the problem.
