Input by mouse

Have tried to draw with mouse but cannot seem to do anything. Mouse will move and select normally but no drawing - what am I doing wrong?? help!! On Mac Snow Leopard & latest version

Which drawing tool are you using, how do you proceed (step by step), what snap tool is active, what exact version of QCAD are you using?

The status bar also does not report any coordinte movement on the mouse when over the drawing area or the mouse will not move the viewed drawing area
