We try to support as many platforms as possible but we're not in the stage of extensive porting yet.
From what I can see, all dependencies we have should work on that platform, so there's nothing that speaks against it.
[Edit] Note that this would be 10.4.11 on Intel Macs. PowerPC support will very likely be dropped.
