Save issue
When I try to do a save as, I browse to the location (local hard drive), type the desired file name. I get a dialog box with the following;
the path and name of file "has not been saved. Please check if you have sufficient permissions and the disk is not full."
I am the administrator and my disk is not full, I'm using windows 7.

This is an indication that 'something' went wrong when trying to save the file.
Is this a file that was imported from another CAD system?
If so, it might contain objects or settings that QCAD cannot save back. If you can reproduce this error, we would appreciate if you could e-mail us the file that was imported.

I think that some lines may have come from an AutoCAD file that was saved in dfx format. however, version 2.2.2 can open and save the file with no issues, 95% of the work was done in QC 2.2.2. I just opened the file in QC 3 and tried to do a save as, because I have been using QC 2.2.2 on this file for some time, I don't think I have the imported file.
save fail and file becomes empty
I have had exactly the save problem with files created under Qcad 2.2.2.0.
(win7, 64bit). The problem seems to develop when you start manipulating/ deleting layer or blocks...the end result is usually a zero bit file.

Hi,
I struggled with the same problem but under XP 32bit
Andrew figured out it was a wrong named Layer and the same in Blocks.
In my case I used quotation marks in the names like Frame 1"=16".
After I renamed the Layers and Blocks in something without quotation marks it was easy to save the files ...

save issue, same problem
I tried to save an exisiting file, it has been used with previous versions but might contain parts from autocad files.
When I try to save it "as" I get a warning "Null object Id" and when I click <ok> I get another warinng "File <filename> has not been saved"
I can send the file if you'd like.
wkr,
Carlos
