Re: Save As and Open Crash
Hi pdimick and welcome
A few questions
Are these imported large files from another CAD program or does this happen when for example you create a draft yourself in QCAD?
If its not too confidential are you able to attach a file for testing?

Re: Save As and Open Crash
Hi Clive,
Glad to be onboard...Thanks.
It happens when I create a simple draft.
It is happening in two instances:
1. I cannot open a file in the "Open File" option. I can only open by clicking on a desktop icon or from recent items, for exapmple.
2. I cannot save a file in the "Save As" option
Both instances cause the system to to go into a "Not Respond" mode and I am forced to shut down Qcad.
I am attaching a sample draft

Re: Save As and Open Crash
pdimick:
- Does the file dialog show at all or does the crash occur before that?
- Do you have any external drives attached or network shares enabled?
I can imagine that an external drive or network share might stall the file dialog while trying to mount or connect.
This should not cause a crash though. Maybe you can also try to let it hang once for a while to see if the dialog is shown eventually.
Thanks for any additional information you can provide.
