More self controlled power ...

Post by Husky » Sat Mar 16, 2013 9:05 pm

I like to be the Master of my OWN threads in the Bug Tracker Forum! 8)
Is it possible to give me the permit to handle my own threads regarding deleting threads and/or attachments?

You should be able to modify your own tasks.
Deleting tasks is not possible at all, not even for me. Tasks can only be closed but never deleted.

Yes, I'm able to modify my own comments but if I delete my text we have still the post headline - what means I leave just trash in the Forum. That can't be ...

You are absolutely sure that you can't change that? If I check my permissions then I see two point what makes me thinking: "There must be a way 8)

Yes, I saw this. These permissions would allow you to delete all comments and all attachments from anyone. There is no way to limit this own comments and own attachments, unfortunately. I can also only change this for all reporters, not for one only. Flyspray is a bit lacking in this respect. How about you add "obsolete" to the task or comment?

Hi Andrew
Some of the guys at work are using this, by their accounts - you can't beat it:
go to > mantisbt.org

It seems to have an impressive range of 'customizable' features for most things.

Hope it helps

Thanks Clive. I actually tried Mantis before flyspray but it was a pain to set up and probably wouldn't have worked at all on our server.

Funny - isn't it? If I have the permission to edit my own comments - I'm not able to edit other comments, what is absolutely correct!
But if I get the permission (in the same administration) to delete my own comments/attachment than I can delete all comments/attachments off all users?
