OT- Solidworks to come to Mac OS X in 2008! (apparently)

Post by ttrw » Wed Mar 05, 2008 6:35 pm

Sorry for the OT, but I was told today by Solidworks (March, 2008) that Solidworks will announce this year that SW's has finally been ported to Mac OS X.

This is great news for me (as a Solidworks user), but I think that this will also be great news to all those who use qCad on their Macs too- I've often imported qCad drawings into Solidworks for making into 3D objects). I think it also confirms what most OS X users have been saying all along, that Mac OS X is a great engineering platform too!

Hmm- all a big false alarm. What baffles me is that it was SW's who gave me this news, now they emphatically deny it. (I thought it sounded too good to be true).
