PDF to DXF/DWG converter ....

Post by Husky » Sat Jan 25, 2014 7:05 pm

Hi everybody,

I'm in need to use a PDF to DXF/DWG converter and I'm looking for a Free OpenSource Software to get it done.

There are a couple (good!) converter out there - but they are asking for a lot of money.

Maybe somebody has experience with a Freeware converter and like to share the source .... e_surprised

... or maybe there is a way to implement something like that in QCAD.  8)

Hi Husky
You may be able to do this in Inkscape, pdf to dxf or pdf to svg first ?
For the best support please state your operating system, QCAD version and add any supporting DXF/DWG files, screenshots etc...

Hi Clive - it works better than I thought with Inkscape. Thanks for the hint.

You have just to open the PDF in Inkscape and save it then as a dxf. Open it in QCAD - check the scale - if necessary fix it - done!

Thank you!
