The new QCAD feature "dimension label color" will change the label color at existing drawings to "Custom".
In my opinion it should be by default "by Layer" until the user decide to change the color by him/herself. ;-)

This should not be the case. Please attach the drawing file, thanks.
The default is "By Block" which translates to "By Layer" if the dimension color is "By Layer".
Double checked:
Tested with 3.24.3.0 - works like YOUR description.
Tested with 3.24.3.7 - works like MY description.
Can you attach the drawing file please, thanks.
3.24.3.0 does not have support for dimension label colors.
Yep - sorry - I should not answer in the middle of the night .... ;-)
Thanks. The file loads correctly, as it is stored on disk.
Previous QCAD versions used a custom color for dimension labels. This is a default set by the OpenDesign libraries when creating a new document. Perhaps this default has changed at one point which makes if difficult to detect when loading the file.
This is fixed in such a way that dimension label colors are always changed to "ByBlock" when loading a file from QCAD < 3.24.3.7.
Great - thank you.
