FS#1868 - Reading ellipse from DXF
Loading the appended dxf-file should show a circle and an ellipse.
The circle is ok.
The ellipse gets always an ellipse with center at (0|0),
main vertex at (1|0) and ratio of 1.
I cannot tell why the Teigha DXF/DWG library accepts the circle but not the ellipse in this reduced DXF file.
However, this is not something we can fix. There is something missing in the DXF file to read the ellipse correctly.
As a workaround, you can use dxflib instead of Teigha to import such incomplete files. dxflib is a lot more tolerant to accept incomplete input.
To open a file using dxflib:
File > Open
Change filter to "DXF Files [dxflib] (*.dxf)"
