FS#2265 - QCAD/CAM: startup crash if disabling hierarchical layers

QCAD/CAM 3.26.4 crashes at startup (just disappears) if setting “EnableHierarchicalLayers” to “false” in QCAD3.ini (Section: [LayerListPro]) on Windows.
Tested fresh installs on several computers, including Windows 10, 7, XP. 32 Bit and 64 Bit OS and QCAD/CAM.
After removing “EnableHierarchicalLayers” or setting “true” QCAD/CAM starts up normally.

So user without knowledge of finding/editing .ini-file will lock himself out by disabling “Application Preferences > Widgets > Layer List > Enable Hierarchical Layers”

I tried to reproduce this problem on Windows 10 64bit, Windows 8.1 32bit and Windows XP, all without success.

Do you start QCAD by launching the application itself (e.g. clicking QCAD in a start menu or on the desktop) or by double-clicking a DXF or DWG file? In the latter case, could you attach the file?

I have tested again and my information was incorrect. It happens only with the QCAD/CAM 3.26.4 package. The normal QCAD package is working perfectly with both possible settings for "EnableHierarchicalLayers".

I have edited the bug report accourdingly.

Launching qcad.exe directly or by file association (double-clicking a DXF or DWG file) does not make any difference, so it is not related to a specific DXF/DWG file.

Sorry for giving wrong information in the initial report.
