Notebook Win11Pro without Function keys.

Activating F8 (Display Distance/Angle) within the menu (below View) fails.

Reason: Same underlined keys are used for different menus

Select and Snap = S,
Dimension and Info = I,
Modify and Misc = M,

Hi,
In paperspace I can scale and rotate etc. a viewport but I can’t mirrow it for to me unknown reasons.
After reading and testing this user request I agree that it would make sence to have such an option. The solution from Andrew to accomplish that task with blocks / edit block in place is already a nice solution but to me it feels like paperspace would be the correct place with less action to manage. The user can still design the drawing as usal in modelspace without thinking about the “special treatment” for the block which is used for the mirrowed presentation.

I’m already able to use the Circle tool “2 Tangents and radius” to accomplish this task but it is a lot of break out etc. action needed to clean the shape afterward.

A block with Attributes can’t be flipped (Option bar) horizontally. The Attributes will be rotated 180° instead of been mirrored. Other entities in the block flip correctly.
Same block flipped vertically works as expected (Mirrored Attributes).
Same block flipped with FH or MI works as expected. (Mirrored Attributes).

Case description: “Hatch from Segments” (HS) detects correctly an open loop but fails then to set the circle marker for an easy visuelle identification.

Same scenario tested with “Hatch from Selection” (HA) ...
... everything works like a charm

e.g: If I use content out of the clipboard to insert it multiple times into the drawing with using the Middle Manual snap [SN] the snap can’t be locked [SQ] and I have to reactivated the snap again and again for every following insert.
Other snaps like END or CENTER work flawless in this scenario.

Post processor “LaserGBRL (offset) [mm] fails to turn off/on (M5, M4) at Tabs.

The attached example file is written with a third party CAD program in R15.
Opened in QCAD CE all Dim/Label information are available.
If I load this drawing in QCAD Pro the Dim/Label information are lost.

If I load and save the example drawing with CE the newly written dxf is readable in Pro without any issue.

Yes I’m aware that the U.S. survey foot has to be discontinuing December, 31, 22. However - as we’ve learned in the past it takes decades until a unit will disappears for good.

The tool “Clip to rectangle” / “Cut at Area Boundary” tool used on an area with lines and arcs will partly complete arcs to circles.

Referring to Layer List / Block List: It would improve the workflow if the Delete key on the keyboard would be linked to the minus icon (Delete). The command ER is also ignored in both list.

It would be nice to have the possibility to select multiple blocks with Shift and/or CTRL + mouse like the Layer List to use a delete etc command on all selected blocks at once.

Currently if I position one Tab (KT) to stacked profiles QCADCAM will use it on ALL in Z matching profiles. Practically in most cases would be to use tabs only on the lowest profile.

It would be nice to have some kind of control on which profile a tab has to be used.

dwg loaded in 3.27.1 frees QCAD (no response) and a Win10 PC. Same drawing loaded in 3.26.0 causes no problems. It looks to me that two hatches (handle 198b6, 198ba) are the culprits.
Drawing saved without those hatches opens without any problem in 3.27.1.

Hi,

I believe prior QCAD version 3.22.0.0 there was no rotating preview. The rotating preview shows the outcome regarding to the chosen center point. I know that it is also common for move/copy. However, for me it is very confusing and difficult to chose the correct center point for a rotation if I’m constantly been distracted by the most of the time overlapping preview of my selection. This said if the drawing is very detailed I have to zoom in extremely to be able to snap to the right entity. That wouldn’t be necessary without the preview. Additional rotate a large drawing selections will compromise the performance - CPU is going like crazy.

It would be nice to have an option to turn this preview on/off.

I’m often in the situation that I have to select for nesting 50+ sheets. Currently is only a Shift + left mouse click selection possible. It would be nice if QCAD/CAM could get for the nesting / sheet selection additional a mouse rectangle area selection.

Angle Display is decimal although the decimal display is disabled in Application Preferences.

Format should be 17° 31’ 52” instead of 17.531111.

When I modify partly a DIM with “Stretch” or changing one Extension line position with drag and drop the Value text is updated which is nice working. Unfortunately the previous value stays in place and is overwritten by the actual value. I think for a good readability the previous value should disappear in the moment when the new value is presented.

Case:
Drawing with text, zoom in and out with one of the common methods, text will disappear in certain zoom level

Same drawing zoomed in and out in 3.20.0.0 doesn’t show this effect - works just fine.

The square symbol offered as symbol in DIM label is the only symbol which doesn’t adopt the layer color.
If I print a drawing in full color it leads to a black symbol in an otherwise colored dimension.

It is also the only symbol which has a solid filling what is confusing when you work with it in Model_Space ...

“Paste” has already the options: To current layer, Overwrite layers, Overwrite blocks.

Would be a nice time saver to have the same options for “Paste along Entity” too.
