After finding that dwg files can not be opened in CE version of QCAD I have now found out that pclinuxos has a repo file that does conversion on command line. I get dxf files as result, in this case binary if that has impact on following. The converted files seem to be accepted by QCAD CE Drawing lo...

OOOOPS, now I understand, and I think I had seen something about that earlier, the community version does not support .dwg. Details found here
